New: AI Workspace – Secure AI for Organizations With Sensitive Data. Learn more.
The following list presents providers that combine a departmental work environment with centralized management: ranging from platforms offered by major U.S. providers to European SaaS solutions and open-source projects, as well as confidential computing services. This selection is not intended to be exhaustive. All information has been compiled to the best of our knowledge and belief based on official manufacturer information and publicly available sources, without any guarantee as to its timeliness, completeness, or accuracy.
An AI adoption platform centralizes access to AI for the entire workforce and enforces standard rules for its use. To compare solutions, you should apply the same criteria to all providers:
Usability and Integration: Can business units use chat, prompt libraries, assistants, and Office integration without IT expertise? Which knowledge sources can be integrated, and are their access rights carried over?
Model Variety and Control: Which model providers are available, and can the selection be restricted by team, project, or user? Switching between providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Mistral reduces dependence on a single provider.
Personal Data Protection: Are personal details detected in prompts, blocked, or replaced with placeholders? Does the platform restore the original values in the response, and in which pricing plans is this feature included?
Operating Location and Jurisdiction: Where does the application run, where is the data stored, and where does model processing take place? Equally relevant is who owns the provider and which subcontractors are involved.
Roles, Permissions, and SSO: Which authentication methods (SAML, OIDC) and user management systems (SCIM) are available? Are there specific roles for data protection, AI officers, or finance?
Cost Control: Can budgets or limits be set per organization, team, and individual, or is usage covered by a flat fee per license? The profiles do not list prices because the billing models are not comparable.
Evidence and logging: Which certifications and attestations apply to the application itself, and which apply only to the underlying infrastructure? Can IT use audit logs and usage analytics to track how the platform is being used?
Aimable, based in Amsterdam, is geared toward European small and medium-sized businesses. The platform is now called Aimable Agentic OS and integrates chat, agents, knowledge bases, and integrations with line-of-business systems. The provider’s engineering team implements the first use case in collaboration with the customer’s team.²
Control is managed via “Spaces”: For each team, the administration determines which models, sources, and tools are permitted and who is authorized to view which content. For externally hosted models, a redaction module replaces names, email addresses, and identifiers before sending and reinstates them in the response. For particularly sensitive Spaces, Aimable recommends using open-source models on dedicated EU GPUs or on the customer’s own hardware instead.²
Each response includes source citations. A log records who asked which questions, which sources were used, and what costs were incurred. Budgets set a fixed upper limit per Space or company-wide. The platform runs in Aimable’s EU cloud or in the customer’s cloud. Aimable is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022; SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress.²
Aimable is particularly well-suited for medium-sized organizations seeking verifiable answers, budget limits per team, and guided implementation.
The contracting party for customers in the EEA and Switzerland is OpenAI Ireland Ltd. The platform offers exclusively OpenAI models, as well as projects, Workspace Agents (Research Preview), and more than 60 apps, including those for Slack, Google Drive, SharePoint, GitHub, and Atlassian. By default, OpenAI does not use data from the Business and Enterprise plans for training.³
The Business plan includes SAML SSO and admin roles. SCIM, role-based access control, Enterprise Key Management, the analytics dashboard, the compliance API, IP allowlisting, and data residency are exclusive to the Enterprise plan. The feature overview also lists ISO certifications 27001, 27017, 27018, and 27701 only for the Enterprise plan.³
New Enterprise customers can store content in the EEA and Switzerland and specify that model processing take place on GPUs in that region. Authentication, routing, analytics, and CPU processing—such as reading uploaded files—can still take place outside the region. We did not find native masking of personal data in the sources we evaluated.³
ChatGPT Enterprise is particularly well-suited for organizations that are satisfied with a single model ecosystem and require Enterprise features such as SCIM and data residency.
Dust, based in Paris, relies on many specialized agents rather than a single assistant. Each agent receives its own set of instructions, a defined knowledge base, and a specific list of tools. Connectors integrate systems such as Slack, Notion, Google Drive, and GitHub. Additional tools can be added via the Model Context Protocol.⁴
Permissions are managed via “Spaces”: Agents inherit the permissions of the knowledge sources they access. Users can choose from more than 20 models, including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Mistral. The platform’s source code is publicly available on GitHub.⁴
Dust is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR-compliant. Customer data is not used for model training; model providers do not store any data. Even with the Business plan, users can choose to have their data hosted in the EU or the U.S. SSO is available upon request for plans with five or more seats. SCIM, audit logs, custom retention periods, and a single-tenant option are reserved for the Enterprise plan. We did not find any mention of personal data masking with the option to restore data in the sources we reviewed.⁴
Dust is particularly well-suited for departments in sales, support, or marketing that want to automate recurring processes with specialized agents.
Since 2023, Berlin-based Langdock GmbH has been offering chat, agents, workflows, integrations, and an API all on a single platform. The model list includes over 40 models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, and DeepSeek. For each model, Langdock specifies whether it is operated in the EU or globally.⁵
The standard offering is a multi-tenant SaaS solution on Microsoft Azure with servers located in the EU. Langdock offers a single-tenant instance for 2,000 or more users, and operation in the customer’s own cloud or on-premises via Kubernetes for 5,000 or more users. Langdock is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type II audited. Access rights from source systems are mirrored; users can store their own API keys.⁵
We did not find any mention of masking personal data in the chat in the documentation. In the workflow product, a Guardrails node detects personal data and halts the process. Since September 2026, the German company Langdock Holding SE has held all shares in Langdock GmbH; previously, the shares were held by the U.S.-based Langdock Inc. It is not yet publicly clear who specifically controls the new structure.⁵
Langdock is particularly well-suited for organizations seeking a broad range of plans with EU hosting as standard and numerous integrations.
meinGPT is a product of SelectCode GmbH in Unterhaching. Model selection is organized into four data protection levels. These range from “EU Only”—with a European provider and EU servers—to EU hosting, such as for GPT models via Azure or Claude via Google Vertex, up to models hosted in the U.S. under the Data Privacy Framework.⁶
The data protection filter replaces personal data with placeholders and restores the original values in the response. Detection takes place on the company’s own servers in Germany. The filter will be available upon request starting November 1, 2026, and will be activated on a per-workspace basis. If it cannot fully verify a message, it will not be sent. The filter pseudonymizes the data; it does not anonymize it.⁶
SelectCode is certified to ISO 27001:2022. The Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and the list of subprocessors are publicly available. Models can be shared with entire workspaces, individual teams, or specific individuals. An audit log tracks changes to settings.⁶
meinGPT is particularly well-suited for medium-sized companies looking for a German provider that offers training and enablement services.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is an add-on to Microsoft 365 and requires a Microsoft 365 subscription that includes this feature. A Teams license is also required for Teams. Copilot works directly within Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Prompts, responses, and data accessible via Microsoft Graph are not used to train foundation models.⁷
In addition to OpenAI models, models from Anthropic are available. These are exempt from the EU data boundary and are disabled by default for customers in the EU, EFTA, and the UK. Administrators can enable them for individual users or groups. Individual Anthropic models with data stored by the model provider require separate consent to Anthropic’s own terms and conditions.⁷
Purview DLP can prevent Copilot from responding to prompts containing sensitive information types or from initiating a web search for such information. This prompt blocking feature is currently in preview. Files with specific sensitivity labels can be excluded from processing. However, DLP does not check files uploaded directly into the prompt. Copilot does not offer masking with restoration of the original values.⁷
Microsoft 365 Copilot is particularly well-suited for organizations that are already built on Microsoft 365 and Purview and for whom integration with Office is more important than having a choice among many model providers.
Myra AI Workspace combines the governance of an AI gateway with a workspace for business units. The platform is designed for organizations that want to roll out AI company-wide while also integrating their own applications via an OpenAI-compatible interface. Over 20 provider integrations are available; custom Myra models run on Myra’s EU infrastructure. In addition to operating as a service, Myra also offers an on-premises version.⁸
Business units can use chat, projects with knowledge files—including text recognition for scans—agents, workflows with human approval steps, and scheduled tasks. Knowledge sources can be integrated from SharePoint, Confluence, or websites; other systems can be connected via MCP connectors. Agents are also accessible via Teams, Slack, or Mattermost. Login is via OIDC or SAML; user accounts and groups can be created via SCIM. In addition to the roles of Admin, Tenant Administrator, Member, and Viewer, there is a role for AI managers and a permission level for finance.⁸
Personal information protection (PII protection) replaces personal information with placeholders before it is passed on to external models and restores the original values in the response. Projects can be configured so that masking is always applied or so that only local Myra models are available. Budgets can be set at three levels: per access token, per client, and per gateway, with daily, monthly, or one-time durations. EU data residency can be set as a minimum requirement per gateway or organization-wide. In this case, the platform rejects any route outside the EU before the model is invoked.
Myra Security is certified to ISO 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz and tested to BSI C5 Type 2. AI Workspace runs on Myra’s certified EU infrastructure.⁸
Myra AI Workspace is particularly well-suited for regulated organizations that want to procure and operate the work environment, masking, budget control, and gateway from a single source.
Onyx, formerly Danswer, is an open-source platform for enterprise search and AI chat. 54 official connectors—such as those for Google Drive, Confluence, Slack, SharePoint, and Jira—make corporate knowledge accessible via a hybrid search. Answers include source citations. Any model can be integrated, including self-hosted ones.⁹
The Community Edition is licensed under the MIT License, while the Enterprise Edition is licensed under its own license. Role-based permissions and the ability to inherit access rights from source systems are features exclusive to the paid plans. Inheriting access rights is only available for certain connectors; SCIM is only available in the Enterprise plan. Onyx can be run in your own data center using Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or Helm, or used as a hosted service via Onyx Cloud.⁹
Onyx was founded in San Francisco in 2023 and has been part of Zoom since September 2026. The founders have committed to keeping the product open-source, model-agnostic, and self-managed. When self-hosted, the organization is responsible for compliance certification, updates, and operations.⁹
Onyx is particularly well-suited for companies that want to maintain control over their own code and data and use AI primarily to leverage existing knowledge bases.
Privatemode AI is developed by Edgeless Systems GmbH in Bochum. The company focuses primarily on securing model processing rather than on the variety of business integrations. The service offers a chat application and an interface compatible with OpenAI and Anthropic.¹⁰
A client-side proxy encrypts requests before they leave the customer’s network and uses remote attestation to verify which software will process them. Requests are decrypted only within protected execution environments on CPUs and GPUs. Neither the infrastructure operator nor Edgeless Systems can view inputs in plain text. Open-weight models are used.¹⁰
Protection is thus based on technically verifiable guarantees rather than solely on contractual commitments. Privatemode can be used as a managed service or integrated into an existing AI infrastructure. Features typical of a workplace platform—such as knowledge integration, role models, or budget control—are not, however, a primary focus.¹⁰
Privatemode AI is particularly well-suited for individuals subject to professional confidentiality obligations, as well as for organizations in the justice system, healthcare, and research and development that require cryptographic proof of AI usage.
Zylon was founded in Madrid in 2023 by the developers of the open-source project PrivateGPT. The platform runs entirely on the customer’s infrastructure: in their own data center, in a private cloud, or completely isolated without an internet connection. “Zylon in a Box” also offers a preconfigured server.¹¹
The package includes a local model environment with a vector database and GPU control, an OpenAI-compatible interface, and a user interface for business departments. Role-based permissions and audit logs are included.¹¹
Since the models run on the organization’s own hardware, there are no usage-based token costs from external providers; instead, there are investments in hardware and operations. The operating organization is responsible for providing proof of compliance.¹¹
Zylon is particularly well-suited for organizations in the banking and defense sectors, the public sector, and the healthcare industry when AI needs to run without any cloud dependency.
“Origin” refers to the location of the provider or parent company, not the location where data processing takes place. Where prompts are stored and where model processing occurs must be assessed separately for each level.
For self-hosted platforms, the operating organization determines the location; connected external models must be considered separately. Residency offerings also have their own scopes: For ChatGPT Enterprise, the “Europe” region includes the EEA and Switzerland. Authentication and routing may take place outside this region.³

The following table separately outlines the handling of personal data in the prompt, the login process, and the supporting documentation. Masking data before model processing does not automatically mean that stored chat histories also contain only masked data: meinGPT, for example, stores the chat history with the original values.⁶
The behavior in the event of a failure also differs. meinGPT does not send a message if the filter cannot fully verify it. With Myra, the behavior depends on whether the setting is “fail open” or “fail closed.”⁶ ⁸ Furthermore, certificates do not always apply to the application itself, but in some cases only to the underlying infrastructure.

An AI adoption platform is a workspace for generative AI within an organization. Employees use chat, assistants, and connections to corporate knowledge. The IT department determines which models may be used, who receives which permissions, and which data protection rules apply. The platform differs from a pure AI gateway in that it is aimed at end users and not just at development teams.
